Designing Your Smile Makeover
In the Cosmetic Workup, Dr. Bruno and her team will take some photos to share with you and the lab. She’ll talk with you about areas of aesthetic smile design and get your input on what you’d like to see. She’ll discuss the risks and benefits of each treatment option for you so you can decide if and how you’d like to proceed.
Dr. Bruno plans each cosmetic case with intention and attention to detail, which entails a few appointments to finalize plans before ever touching your teeth with a bur. This is because she considers smile design to be like building a house. You first need a blueprint and then lay the foundation before you can start to build.
And this way, you can be absolutely sure of what your smile makeover will look like afterwards.
For all our cosmetic work, we use a high level lab called Esthetics by Design, which provides different levels of ceramic artistry depending on your individual needs and desires. All aspects of your case will be discussed with you before planning the types of restorations you’ll need, so we’ll be sure to meet or exceed your expectations.
Whitening/Smile Brightening
Because sensitivity is an issue with whitening, KoR Whitening is our system of choice, as it involves no special lights or other gizmos that can sensitize and dry out teeth even more. Both powerful and effective, it can even remove tetracycline stains that were once thought impossible to remove completely!
At your first appointment, we’ll take impressions of your teeth so we can make custom bleaching trays for you. When you pick them up, you’ll also be given two weeks’ worth of whitening gel to use at home before your in-office treatment.
Your in-office appointment will be 90 minutes long, involving a 3-step application that will finish the brightening job, leaving you with a natural-looking, sparkling smile.
Ceramic Dental Implants
All the implants we place at Bruno Integrative Dentistry are 100% zirconia. Unlike conventional titanium alloy implants, ceramic implants are biocompatible and will not corrode or shear like metal implants can, releasing potentially toxic metals into your system.
They’re more aesthetic, as well. If you have thin or receding gums, you won’t see any dark shadows along your gumline, as zirconia is much closer to normal tooth color. Your smile remains more natural-looking.
