New Patients
At Bruno Integrative Dentistry in North Austin, the experience begins with you. We believe in comprehensive care, and that means taking the time to get to know each of our patients, their desires, and their concerns.
At your first visit, we will take you through a journey of your mouth so you can see the things that we see. We’ll then help you develop a plan for the future to keep you and your teeth as healthy as possible for as long as possible.
It’s Not Just About Cavities
People often consider cavities as the only dental problem. The health of your gums is just as important, especially as science continues to cast light on the links between periodontal health and other chronic inflammatory conditions, including heart disease, diabetes, stroke, cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, and cognitive decline.
Likewise, your occlusal health matters – the alignment of your bite. If your teeth aren’t coming together properly, this means increased wear and breakdowns over time. By making sure your teeth come together in harmony, we can prevent lots of future dental visits to fix the damage.
Your First Visit
We have three different types of first appointment available: Limited, Comprehensive, and Holistic. You can learn more about each type here so you can choose the kind that best meets your needs.
Once you’ve booked your first visit, you can fill out your new patient paperwork in advance. We encourage you to do this, as it will save you time from sitting in the office and make sure you’ve got the opportunity to provide the most complete information you can – information that’s crucial for Dr. Bruno to give you the individualized care you need and deserve.
Establishing an Ongoing Relationship
Dental visits can be difficult for some patients. Past experiences or a fear of the unknown can be daunting. We understand your concerns and promise to provide an excellent dental experience with well-trained and knowledgeable team members who treat you like family.
Dr. Bruno promises to listen to your concerns and provide you with honest, caring treatment options that fit your overall desires. She has been trained to look at your mouth as the entry to your whole body, evaluating not just the teeth, gums, and jaw, but also the airway and jaw joints, as well.
She believes it’s her responsibility to evaluate all the systems of the head and neck to help you be as healthy and pain-free as possible.
Having the pleasure of seeing you at least twice a year allows Dr. Bruno to keep track of changes in your lifestyle and health, and helps her identify any problems early, when they are easier and less expensive to treat.
We want to help our patients thrive – and to enjoy their time comfortably in our office, secure and confident that they are getting the best, most comprehensive care possible.

Do Cavities Actually Hurt?
It's a fair question, and the honest answer surprises most people: not always, and not in the way you'd expect. Pain turns out to be a surprisingly unreliable guide to how serious a cavity actually is. Someone with a small, early cavity can have real sensitivity,...
How to Know If You Have a Cavity
Here's the honest, slightly frustrating answer: in the earliest stages, you often won't feel anything at all. Cavities don't announce themselves the way most people expect, and by the time there's real pain, decay has usually already reached the more sensitive layers...
